Hi, my name is Tar the star!
Hi, my name is Tar (the star), my humans at BARC like to call me that as I’m always finding new ways to impress them. The volunteers at the shelter say I was born in 2018. I’m very friendly and love everyone I meet, so I’d be the perfect dog for a family. I was dropped off at the shelter as a small puppy as I was found next to a newly built road, covered in tar (hence the name). It was a long and hard recovery which meant lots of special attention, so I’m very well socialised. I like to run and go on long walks, so I’d love to have a garden and a like-minded human. I’m very good on the leash and have good recall. I get jealous sometimes when other dogs take the attention away from me, so I’d prefer to be the only dog in the home. When all the lights go off at the shelter I sit and wonder what life would be like if I had a forever home, wondering what a comfy bed would be like or how happy I’d be to receive the love that I’ve always dreamt of. Can you show me what it is like to be loved?
Active family - would enjoy walks and play time.
In good health.
