The Bahrain Animal Rescue Centre is the largest no-kill shelter in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with a mission to save local dogs and cats that are victims of abuse, abandonment or homelessness. Every one of our animals is unique - they have their own likes and dislikes, and have all had very different and often difficult experiences.
We work with each and every one of our animals to make sure they are as ready as can be when they finally find a potential forever home.
If you’re looking for a loving addition to your family - whether a cat or a dog - come down and visit us at the shelter and our volunteers can help find the perfect match, or click one of the links below to see which animals are currently up for adoption!

MEET OUR CATSWe request a one time donation of BHD 50 to adopt one of our rescue animals. This covers the cost of their food, shelter, medical bills, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and any associated paperwork up to the time of adoption. It also helps us to provide support to other animals in need of help.
All of our animals are found within the Kingdom of Bahrain, either reported to us by our community or found by our volunteers. Many of our animals are victims of abandonment who's families have left the country and can no longer support them. Others are locally born in search for a place to call their own in the difficult climate.
The adoption process can take as little as 3-4 days, dependant on how promptly the information required is submitted. We also need to do any final veterinary checks on the animal to ensure they are happy, healthy and ready for adoption or foster!
