Hi my name is Rafiki and I'm looking for a home.
Rafiki was the victim of backyard breeding. Poor living conditions as well as cross breeding had him at a disadvantage even before he was born. Being less than perfect means being useless to the breeders. Rafiki was born with underdeveloped legs and so he was dumped in the desert to starve. He was only 3 months old and didn’t stand a chance. He was lucky enough to be rescued and has been cared for since in the shelter. As a 3 year old, he may be slower than most other dogs but he has just as much love for life. The trauma of being abandoned at such a young age left him shy and reserved, but once he warm up to people he is the sweetest dog. Rafiki is best suited to a single owner or a family with older kids. He gets along with other dogs and is leash trained. He has been tested with kids as young as 10 years but has not been tested with cats. He is vaccinated against parvo/distemper/rabies and microchipped/neutered.
Rafiki and Sarabi are best suited to a single owner or a family with older kids.
